Mhm, hab mir den Trailer nicht ganz angeguckt (wegen Spoilergefahr), aber das werde ich mir auf jeden Fall ansehen.

We say in the writers room after that and were all traumatized by it.” But he was somewhat befuddled over whether the graphic violence and gore of a series like The Following might contribute negatively to perceptions of violence in society. His show, after all, depicts a woman stabbing herself in the eye and strangers being randomly set afire in the street. He acknowledged that he isn’t sure if there is a cumulative effect of all of the violence on his own orientation. “I know that when I put pen to paper, it affects me, but I’m not sure how,” Williamson said. “We don’t sit around (in the writers room) and think of ways to kill people. I’m sitting and thinking of the drama. It’s meant to be a thriller and a provocative story. I guess it is a horrific and scary show but…”

A large portion of the Q&A was focused on the potential link between violence on TV and the recent string of mass shootings, especially in light of the network’s upcoming launch of the very dark new serial killer drama The Following. “I think in general there have been more violent shows on TV,” Reilly said. “Clearly there is appetite, people like these things.” He repeatedly pointed to gritty and violent dramas on cable, like AMC’s megahit The Walking Dead, with which Fox now has to compete. “When you put on a thriller you have to compete at that level… We must match the intensity, otherwise we’ll pale in comparison.” That is especially important for Fox, which has the tradition of being the edgiest among the broadcasters. “Before there was cable, Fox was cable,” Reilly said. “It is a goal for me to get some of the (old) Fox back in Fox.” As for The Following, “this show adheres to broadcast standards,” Reilly said. While he stressed that Fox takes its responsibilities as broadcaster very seriously and is open to an industry-wide discussion about violent content, Reilly didn’t have concerns over putting the thriller on the air. “Everyone is looking for a scapegoat, or wanting to put a finger on one thing that’s the problem,” he said. “We are just in an age of complex issues. It’s no one simple thing.”

This is going places this show just hope the fucking network doesn't decide straight away to cancel it :/ but Williamson is the creator and writer so its definately got a shot, and its unique, im sick of all this fuzzy lovey vampire crap on tv, we need something new and darker and this is it
really made me thrill when i watched it..
Fuck only you guys will know how many time i jumped up frighten. i'm so happy i have a new show to watch. its freaking amazing
Loved the pilot, really intense and genuinely scarey.
I know he is amazing. Fan of TVD also, Dawson's Creek, Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and The Faculty.
14 episodes 14 weeks in a row. If they really go without hiatus, they'll win so much.
This show was the best pilot I've seen! Not for the extremely queasy though, very gory and very scary at some parts. But I loved every second of it. See this show when it comes on!
