Lottergeist Beetlejuice 2 ~ Tim Burton, Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder

Wird hoffentlich genau so skuril und schräg wie der erste. Den schaue ich immer wieder mal gerne. Freue ich mich drauf, vor allem, wenn es Burton wirklich selber macht.
Von Davis & Baldwin hat man wohl nicht gehört?

Laut Autor Seth Grahame-Smith geht der, wenn alles gut läuft, noch vor Ende des Jahres vor die Kamera. Burton und Keaton seien enthusiastisch.

Oh, na das kommt ja beinahe überraschend, wo Michael Keaton erst gesagt hat, er wisse nicht, in welchem Zustand sich das Projekt befindet. In jedem Fall: Dürfen sie jetzt zu drehen anfangen. Alles, was Burton davon abhält mehr Disney-Remakes zu machen ist gerne gesehen.

Ich bin schockiert und weit über die Fähigkeit rationalen Denkens hinaus entsetzt.

Dann liegts jetzt wohl dran, wann er mit der Insel komplett fertig ist und wie das mit Keatons nächsten Terminen zusammenpasst.

Hhmmm....schnell mal nachgsehen....der Synchronsprecher vom ersten Film, Ulrich Gressieker ist 1990 gestorben.
Da müssen wir uns wohl mit einer (im Vergleich zum ersten Beetlejuice) neuen Synchronstimme zufrieden geben.

Schade. Wird dann sicher sein Stammsprecher Joachim Tennstedt, der hervorragend ist und den Betelejuice sicher auch gut hinbekommt.

Komisch aber, dass die Hauptdarsteller des Originals, außer Winona Ryder, nie erwähnt werden, die sind dann wohl nicht mehr dabei. Beetlejuice war trotz Filmtitel ja im Film selbst recht wenig zu sehen.

Sorry guys, aber Burton hat MTV ein Statement geschickt, wonach Beetlejuice 2 aktuell nicht in Produktion sei.

Das klingt ja nicht wirklich so, als würde der Film in absehbarer Zeit kommen. Und zu allem Überfluss ist Dumbo wohl tatsächlich als nächstes dran.

Burton: This is the thing, it’s something that I’m interested in, but there are so many stories [online], dumping Michael Keaton for Johnny Depp and this or that, and I’ve talked to these people and they didn’t wanna hear this, so they just made up a story. But the fact of it is I have talked to Michael and I have talked to Winona [Ryder], I’ve talked to a few people. It’s something that I really would like to do in the right circumstances, but it’s one of those films where it has to be right. It’s not a kind of a movie that cries out [for a sequel], it’s not the Beetlejuice trilogy. So it’s something that if the elements are right—because I do love the character and Michael’s amazing as that character, so yeah we’ll see. But there’s nothing concrete yet.

Irgendwann vielleicht und gerne, so wenn die Umstände passen, aber nichts konkretes in Planung und was nun sofort sein muss.

Kein Plan. Hat wohl auch nur das gehört, was wir so vernehmen.

Nur meine Meinung: Burton ist eh am Tiefpunkt. Alle seine letzten Filme waren nicht meins, Insel sieht auch nicht gut aus... Ist vielleicht besser so.

Das Studio wird sich allerdings die untoten Haare raufen: Keaton nach Birdman und Spotlight für alle älteren wieder ein Begriff, nach seinem Auftritt in Spider-Man auch allen jüngeren bekannt.

Beetlejuice würd zu keinem anderen Zeitpunkt besser kommen.

Vielleicht kann sich Burton ja erbarmen und die Regie einem anderen überlassen?

Ich glaub generell nicht, dass es für Beetlejuice heutzutage eine große Zielgruppe gibt, mich würd's ziemlich wundern wenn da je was käme.

Ich finde das, was der Keaton da von sich gibt ist aller erste Güte! Der hat aber Mal zu 1000% verstanden, was das original Beetlejuice ausmacht.
An Burtons Stelle würde ich mich von dem ganzen CGI Kram zumindest für diesen einen Film komplett trennen und einfach knallhart auf Keaton hören, dann könnte es was interessantes werden. Wobei sie das trashige, skurrile Feeling des Originals wohl nicht erreicht werden, von daher weiß ich auch nicht so recht, ob das was werden kann.
