Synopsis
Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons – personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its "Evil" grip.

Edit:
Bruce Campbell will reprise his role as wisecracking hero Ash in 10 half-hour episodes which will air sometime in 2015.
Raimi will direct the first episode.

Bitte kein My Name is Bruce in Serie, das braucht kein Mensch.

Ich bin wirklich gespannt was dabei rauskommt.

Klingt doch ganz nett.
There’s jokey horror and horror-horror. When there’s a presence in the room, it has to be dealt with because it’s an extremely dangerous and volatile situation. Humor may come out of it, but there’s nothing funny about a demon ripping somebody’s head off. And the beauty of Starz is there’s no content issues. Let’s face it: Fans want the carnage and the mayhem. So we intend to give them quite the explosion of viscera. Most of it directed at me, unfortunately.
hört sich doch gut an.

"There’s jokey horror and horror-horror."

In it, Campbell reprises his role as Ash, the aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons – personal and literal. Santiago [...] will play Pablo Simon Bolivar, an idealistic immigrant who becomes Ash’s loyal sidekick – a Sancho Panza to Ash’s Don Quixote. Pablo believes in Ash’s heroism even if Ash himself doesn’t. DeLorenzo [...] is Kelly Maxwell, a moody wild child trying to outrun her past. Reluctantly dragged into the fight against Evil with Ash and Pablo, Kelly finds a different kind of family with her fellow Deadite slayers.
Quelle: Deadline.

Bruce Campbell: "I was there during the casting process, and they're very talented. Aside from the ensemble [aspect], they each needed to be able to hold their own because they'll have their own series of missions. It's an epic tale. How could you not [plan for that]? I'm a strong proponent of the 'big picture' plan, and we are planning for five seasons."

"We are competitive with The Walking Dead like, 'We'll show those fuckers!' [Our] Deadites are very clever. They not stupid shufflers. They can mimic people; they can drive cars. They're a fun threat. They ['The Walking Dead'] are right up there [though] with being responsible for the current resurgence [of horror]. We have a wonderful room of talented writers. I'm bringing everything to the table. It's a feisty version of Ash, who's grizzled and just wants to be left alone."
