Eben! Ne absolut ALTE Info. Frag mich wie die Fanpage darauf kommt die jetzt wieder auszugraben. Vielleicht fehlen denen die User und sie müssen Gerüchte streuen damit die Seite nicht stirbt.
Egal. Von Crusade mit Cameron und Schwarzenegger hab ich vor EWIGKEITEN schon gehört. Wird mit Sicherheit nicht zustandekommen. Da hat mal wieder einer seine Träume geäussert!

Nein, da gibt es nichts Neues zu. Aber Arnold Schwarzenegger hat mal erzählt, wie und weshalb der Film gestorben ist:
"It was all written and ready to go but then Paul started going crazy. We had the final meeting with the studio and we were all sitting at this boardroom table. They said, 'So the budget is $100 million. That's a lot of money. What kind of guarantees do you have that we will get it for 100 and it won't go up to 130?'"
"He says, 'What do you mean, guarantees'?" booms Schwarzenegger, imitating the Dutch firebrand auteur. "There's no such thing as guarantees! Guarantees don't happen and if anyone promises you guarantees, they're lying! We don't even know that if you want out of the building here you won't get hit by a truck. There's no guarantee that we're going to make it 'til tomorrow! I cannot have control over God – I don't even believe in God, why am I talking about God? But someone, nature, could just rain for three months and then what do we do? How can I give you a guarantee? This is ludicrous!"
"I kept kicking him under the table and trying to tell him to shut up while we're ahead," Arnie adds. "But he just wouldn't, and that was it. That was the end of that movie. Paul always tried to be honest, but you can be a little bit selective about when to be honest and when to just move on with the project. It was a shame."

Also in Kürze: Das Studio wollte eine Garantie, dass der Film nicht teurer als die veranschlagten 100 Millionen wird, und Regisseur Verhoeven konnte und wollte diese nicht geben und hat sich dabei nicht besonders taktvoll verhalten.

Am besten gefällt mir der Teil, wo Schwarzenegger Verhoeven unterm Tisch Tritte verpasst, damit er aufhört, der aber nicht reagiert.
Wenn ich mir das so bildlich vorstelle.....
Auch wenn ich bei der Story - wie auf Seite 1 ja schonmal gesagt - lieber einen anderen als Schwarzenegger gehabt hätte, wäre ich dennoch gespannt gewesen, wie er sich in der Rolle so schlägt. Naja.....dann eben nich.

Auch wenn ich bei der Story - wie auf Seite 1 ja schonmal gesagt - lieber einen anderen als Schwarzenegger gehabt hätte, wäre ich dennoch gespannt gewesen, wie er sich in der Rolle so schlägt. Naja.....dann eben nich.
Arnie über Crusade. Ridley Scott wollte den mit Arnie machen, sollte das Budget aber auf 80 Mio kürzen. Er hat abgedankt und dann später mit 150m Dollar Budget einen anderen Kreuzritterfilm gedreht - Kingdom of Heaven, mit Orlando Bloom.

I cannot go 20 million over a hundred. I have to actually cut 20 million, because we have these new guys and they don’t understand that you’re spending so much money, so do me a favor. Try to bring it in for 80” and Ridley Scott just walked. He says, “Forget it.” So then we were dead on DEEP FREEZE. He then went off and did THE CRUSADE, but then without me…
