Zuda.com ist eine von DC Comics gefuhrte Internetplattform auf der Comiczeichern/Autoren jeweils 8 Seiten ihres eigens erfundenen Comics hochstellen dürfen. Wer am Schluss die meisten Stimmen hat, der darf seinen vollständigen Comic veröffentlichen - Mit heweils einer Seite pro Woche.

Adam Atherton, der mit seinem Ertslingswerk "Bleed" weniger Glück hatte, gewann dann mit Lily of the Valley, der bisher auf 38 Seiten kommt und wohl noch ein Weilchen laufen dürfte, bis der Comic abgeschlossen ist.

Die Story:

A love story for the over and the under medicated, the disenchanted, the excessively violent, and the soft-spoken. In the small Eastern Canadian town of Elmwood, a teenage girl who commits murders to cope with her mental instability, falls for the elusive night roaming boy who has been taking all of the blame. Love between the two blossoms as their personal obsessions bring their lives closer and closer together. Redemption and renewal for the two will lay in unveiling the secrets of Elmwoods rich history before the town, consumed with paranoia, closes in on them. Welcome to a valley of emotional turbulence.

Ich verfolge das Ganze jetzt schon länger und hab "seinerzeit" auch schon für Bleed gehofft und hab jetzt mal einen Thread aufgemacht, denn das Ding ist genial. Die Optik haut mich von Woche zu Woche aufs neue um und künstlerisch gesehen ist das der beste Comic, den ich je gelesen hab/lese. Also unbedingt mal reinschauen - Vor allem wenn man eine Vorliebe für skurrile Horrorgeschichten hat.
