So langsam kann man den Überblick verlieren, was so alles aus dem Fundus von Stephen King in Vorbereitung ist, fürs Kino aufbereitet zu werden. Daher wird es an dieser Stelle auch gar nicht versucht. Nun trifft es eben auch Kings "In the Tall Grass", welchen King allerdings nicht alleine, sondern zusammen mit seinem Sohn Joe Hill geschrieben hat. Inszeniert wird von "Cube" und "Splice"-Schöpfer Vincenzo Natali, nach einem eigenen Drehbuch.
Geht um Bruder und Schwester Cal und Becky, welche einen Wochenendausflug nach Kansas machen, und inmitten der Weite der Landschaft, alsbald in einem Feld mit mannshohen Gras die Stimme eines kleinen Junge vernehmen, welcher sich dort allem Anschein nach verlaufen hat, und nun um Hilfe ruft. Das harmlos ausschauende Feld entpuppt sich dummerweise als eine Art Labyrinth, aus dem es kein Entkommen zu geben scheint. Und zu allem Überfluss sind sie nicht allein...
