George Miller hat Idee für ein weiteres Mad Max: Fury Road Prequel

Weit von etwas Handfestem entfernt und noch nicht einmal ansatzweise in der Mache, hat George Miller kürzlich erwähnt, dass er die Geschehnisse unmittelbar vor Fury Road rund um Mad Max inhaltlich festgezurrt hat. Wenn er die Möglichkeit bekommt, würde er auch diese Geschichte gerne realisieren. Ob da überhaupt jemals etwas kommt, sei mal dahingestellt. Mit 79 Jahren ist Miller nun auch nicht mehr der Jüngste.

Speaking of the Mad man himself, Max and his beloved car, the Interceptor, make a humorously appropriate blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in the film, which Miller says he had no choice but to include. "In doing what we did in the preparation of Mad Max: Fury Road, we also wrote what happened to Max in the year before we encounter him in [that film]," he explains. "And as we get towards the end of this movie, the chronology... Basically, we had to see that Mad Max was lurking around somewhere because we do know what happened. The writers know what happened to Mad Max in that year before, and we have a whole story of that, which I would like to do sometime if I get the chance."

Hm, ja, okay, würde ich natürlich nehmen, aber ich verstehe noch immer nicht, warum man die Geschichte nicht fortführt. Wer hat da etwas dagegen bzw. wird darüber nicht ernsthaft gesprochen?

Die Frage ist: Ist dies hier das Projekt an dem seit einiger Zeit unter dem Arbeitstitel "The Wasteland" gewerkelt wird? Oder kommt der auch noch?

Wobei das alles schätzungsweise noch vom Einspiel von Furiosa abhängt.

Aus seinen damaligen Notizen und Ideen entstand ja das Mad Max Game, was direkt in Fury Road überging.
Funfact: dort kann man auch die komplette Story von Furiosa finden.

Ich kann's mir schon vorstellen, ja. Wäre cool. Aber das wirkt wieder so rumgedoktert.

Ich glaub ja nicht, dass der Film kommen wird, aber wer weiß schon, wie empfänglich das Studio ist, wenn Furiosa jetzt um die Ecke rast und richtig durchballert. Mein Interesse hält sich aktuell etwas in Grenzen. Aber auf Furiosa bin ich schon sehr gespannt.
