Today I filmed a fight scene with Jet Li. After a few shots, I suddenly found out that Jet had an abrasion from his temple to his cheekbone. Oh my God - I hurt him! But when it happened, he didnt say anything. I discovered it by myself. I asked him if I hurt him and he said no. He said when he bowed down and I turned, the bag I was holding accidentally hit him in the face. From that minor thing, you can tell that Jet Li is a professional action star. I really appreciate him. Actually, he was really lucky because originally the bag was made of bamboo. But I thought it was too heavy, and not convenient for me to hold while I did any action and it moved without any flexibility. Thats why I changed the material from bamboo to linen. Think about how hard bamboo is if the bag was made of bamboo and hit him, he could have had a serious injury or bleeding. Thats why I think we were lucky.
It is a story that takes from all of the elements of popular culture and Chinese cinema through the imagination of an American boy. Through his experience with all things Chinese, he grows to become a man and learns to dream, even of kung fu.
---I was able to train for two weeks with Master Woo Ping before the film and then once I started the actual film, I was able to learn from Jackie and Jet some more techniques and I learned more about the real philosophy of martial arts.

Quelle: Yahoo.comHONG KONG - Jackie Chan suffered back pain while wrapping up filming of "The Forbidden Kingdom," his first collaboration with Jet Li.
Chan said in his Web blog that he aggravated an old back injury when shooting scenes last week in China that required him to throw someone upward.
The 53-year-old Hong Kong actor said he was "in excruciating pain" when he woke up the next day, and "could barely get myself out of my bed."
Chan said he also felt pain when filming scenes with Li.
"I had to walk down three steps and join Jet Li for one scene, and each time my feet hit the steps, pain shot through my back," he said.
He said the pain had persisted for at least two days.
A separate statement Monday on Chan's Web site said the action star is "recovering nicely."
Chan has suffered numerous injuries during his career. He said in a 2005 interview that he usually feels pain in his waist, knees and shoulders when he wakes up.
"The Forbidden Kingdom," expected to be released in the U.S. next spring, is about an American teen's fantasy journey to ancient China to rescue a mythological monkey king.
"Rush Hour 3," starring Chan and Chris Tucker, was released earlier this month.
