Joa mal was anderes von der Atmo her. Bin auf jedenfall gespannt, es klingt im ersten Moment wie Atlantis (Team wo gestrandet), aber soll ja ganz anders sein.

Stargate Universe is taking a page out of Battlestar Galactica. In terms of being darker, and gritty, and almost completely character driven compared to its 2 predecessors.

An off world base finds a 9th chevron, and they are forced to make an emergency evacuation of the base (not sure why) and travel to this ninth chevron address.

It takes them to a REALLY old Ancient starship called the Destiny, which was part of an experiment the Ancients were doing to seed all the galaxies with Stargates.

The Destiny is stuck on its course, and will only stop at a planet for a certain amount of time. If the team decides to explore this planet they must get back to the Destiny on time or they will be left there forever.

As I said, SG:U will be focused on character drama, and less on aliens with plastic glued to their foreheads. You can expect major plot twists, people stabbing each other in the back (figuratively), and all that great character stuff.

BTW, Richard Dean Anderson won't be 'staring' so much as guest staring. SGU will have earth stories as well. Think of it like LOST, it'll have flashbacks to characters back on earth before they were in the Stargate program and such.

hier ist der erste richtige Trailer zu Stargate Universe.

Falls der Trailer nicht tut. Hier nochmal das ganze bei Youtube.

Ich weiß nicht genau was ich von halten soll. Scheint vielleicht eine Soap zu werden. Dafür sieht die Action ganz gut aus. Nur wie sie mit dem angekündigten Plot mehrere Staffeln füllen wollen ist mir nicht ganz klar. Hoffentlich verfolgen sie denn Kurs und ruinieren es nicht ganz so wie Atlantis.

Jedenfalls sind ein paar Sachen klar. Es werden Goauld vorkommen. Wenn auch kurz und es scheint dramatischer zu werden.

Das sieht doch schon mal richtig gut aus. Und wirkt auch nicht zu sehr auf das jugendliche Publikum ausgerichtet.

RTL2 hat sich die Rechte gesichert!

"Stargate Universe" wird auf dem amerikanischen SCIF FI Channel erstmals am 02. Oktober 2009 gesendet. Ein Ausstrahlungstermin für Deutschland steht noch nicht fest.

Naja... Nachdem mich Atlantis masslos enttäuscht hat, hoff ich mal, dass die den groben Schnitzer mit Universe wieder ausbügeln können...

Ich wiess nich. Das war mir irgendwie alles zu, naja, bunt. Klingt n bisschen komisch, aber halt so extrem Science-Fiction mässig.
SG1 hatte immernoch den Bezug zur Erde über Cheyenne Mountain und Atlantis war halt diese TechnoStadt, mit all ihren komischen vorrichtungen etc...

Ausserdem kann ich mit der Atlantis Crew nichts anfangen. Die sind wie die liebgewonnene SG1 Crew nur als doofer abklatsch...

Klar hab ich mir auch die ein oder andere Folge Atlantis angeguckt, aber es hat mich nie gefesselt... Weil es war irgendwie nich mehr Stargate, so wie ichs über 9 oder 10 Staffeln hinweg kennen und lieben gelernt habe :smile:

Sieht doch ganz gut aus. Ich habe nur ein Problem: Die Wackelkamera, das herumgeschwenke und die teilweise hektischen Schnitte, selbst bei Gesprächen, verursachen mir schon nach ein paar Minuten Schwindel.

Ich hoffe das liegt nur an der Qualität des Trailers und gibt sich auf TV wieder.
